I’ve created a mailing list to notify readers of special events. I expect the number of emails sent out to be very low, possibly even zero.
I only envision three two scenarios where I would send out a message:
- One of my short stories is finally polished enough to be published, and I want to send you a link to it.
- I plan to attend a science fiction convention or similar event, and want to see if anyone else is attending.
